One of the biggest challenges airlines must cope with is passengers failing to follow crewmember instructions during an evacuation. Flight Attendants across the USA, and likely around the world, shout to passengers “leave everything behind!” or “Leave your bags behind!” Do all passengers comply? Clearly, the answer is no. This video shows the passenger non-compliance and the slow speed of each person coming out of the plane, likely due to bringing their bag(s) to the emergency exit. One wonders what passengers are more concerned about, their life or their bag?

Vaping on a plane – don’t do it!
This passenger was caught vaping in an airplane lavatory. What some don’t seem to understand is that vaping is considered a tobacco product by the FDA, therefore, vaping and smoking a cigarette come under the same category. No matter what level addiction a person may have to nicotine, it’s never an accepted excuse for vaping on a plane.
Did you know that vaping on a plane can end up costing the offending passenger at minimum 1,100.00? There are variables that likely affect the penalty applied against the passenger. Is that hit of vape in the lavatory and getting caught really worth having to pay so much money?

Severe turbulence, August 29, 2025
Weather can not always be predicted. Some weather is visible which provides indications of what to expect when flying near or in that area. Some turbulence cannot be predicted, which is why it is imperative passengers keep their seatbelt fastened whenever seated. It is common to experience everything from a smooth flight to light turbulence on any given flight. Sometimes, moderate turbulence is predicted or other aircraft are advised of the turbulence flying in a specific area and altitude(s). These are known an Pilot Reports, or in aviation terminology, called PIREPs. Knowing areas of turbulence from forecasts and PIREPs not just provides a more comfortable flight, it also provides some level of safety, reducing the risk of turbulence-related injuries. However, it’s the severe turbulence that suddenly occurs without warning, and anyone not seated with their seatbelt fastened may find themselves tossed within the cabin. This flight encountered severe turbulence and passengers got injured.
