Aircraft Orientation
Every flight attendant training course teaches aircraft orientation so crewmembers are familiar with all the different components of the aircraft. You might wonder why it matters whether flight attendants know the names of key parts of the plane? Part of it has to do with communications under normal and emergency situations. It would not be helpful to have flight attendants say, “the thing out on the wing, on the right, there’s a bunch of them, one closer to the cabin, it’s not working right.” Do you mean one leading-edge flap didn’t extend?
This free information will assist you in understanding any aircraft you work on as generally speaking, they all have the same components, just the size and shape may be different, based on the aircraft design.
